The Sub-Regional Statutory Meeting is a bi-annual event (End-Year, and Mid-Year) convened by the WAMI, WAMA, and WAIFEM, and hosted by Member States on a rotational basis.
During the Meeting, the organs of the sub-regional institutions, namely: the Technical Committee of each Institution, the Committee of Governors, and the Convergence Council review the Macroeconomic Developments and Convergence reports on Member States to assess the progress made towards compliance with the Convergence Criteria required for the successful take-off of the sub-region’s single currency.
